Who I Am…

I started working in my first flower shop in my hometown when I was 15 years old. I only started working there because my best friend did. I continued to work at florists through my entire adult life, honing my skill and building a passion for working with flowers - the different colors, textures, shapes and styles. This eventually led me to the world of succulents…

Flowers die quickly. They are so beautiful, but for such a short time. With succulents, I can still create stunning designs with a variety of colors, shapes and textures, but the end product can last forever. Succulents fascinate me - the way they survive and thrive with little to no input from us. Actually, most people kill their succulents because they love them too much and give them too much attention!

My focus is on quality plants, and more importantly, quality soil (a well draining soil is the most important aspect of healthy succulents). And I absolutely love finding unique, eye catching containers that will enhance the beauty of succulents even more.

I live in Wisconsin with my two preteen daughters and my amazingly supportive husband. I’m a bit obsessed with animals - we have two dogs, four cats, 21 chickens and 3 horses. I love hiking, reading and watching my girls play soccer.
